Missoula Flood/Ice
 Cutway view of Purcell Lobe, Cordilleran Ice Sheet over Lake Pend Oreille, depicting ~2400' ice depth over lake. Modeled in World Construction Set to scale on the National Elevation Dataset. Purcell Lobe Cordilleran Ice Sheet 13,000ya, covering present day Lake Pend Oreille, damming the Clark Fork River and forming Glacial Lake Missoula. Glacial depth and extents obtained from Idaho Geological Survey. Pend Oreille Lake today, exact camera view of glacier view. National Land Cover dataset (NLCD) utilized as color map drape to assign "ecotypes" in World Construction Set. Set on the 30m National Elevation Dataset. Historical sign located on US Hwy 200 by Sandpoint, Idaho depicting magnitude and location of Glacial Ice Dam.
